My passion for holistic nursing came around 2010-2011 during nursing burnout and personal/family hardships. My friend Kate (also a nurse) and I were volunteering for a cancer retreat at Kings House in Buffalo, MN through Buffalo hospital. We knew nothing of healing touch, which launched us into taking healing touch courses through Healing Beyond Borders. Then came Transformative Nurse Training through Penny George Institute of Health and Healing offered at Allina hospitals. It was a privilege to learn more about Holistic Nursing through this training. I also became a member of MinnHNA and AHNA along the way. I have attended AHNA conferences annually since 2018. I worked 20 years as ER nurse, and I have worked in other areas such as mental health, PACU and nurse education. I currently am working my 23rd year at Buffalo Hospital and now in Cardiac Rehab.
I just recently became a nurse coach and thrilled to carry my holistic nurse passion in this area and hopefully into private practice.
