DESCRIPTION
Everybody carries a certain trauma load. Unhealed trauma holds us back in the past, it has a strong repetition compulsion and as such, it limits our potential for a better future. This refers equally to the trauma we carry as individuals, to the trauma energies we took on as transgenerational trauma transmission from our family system, and to the trauma load that is a collective quality of our society.
Unhealed trauma is a burden. Once it is healed, however, it turns into an asset for our future. Modern trauma research speaks of the post-traumatic growth, the benefit of having gone and integrated a traumatic experience.
In that way trauma integration is not a luxury but a necessity, a necessary precondition for a future that is more than a continuation of a traumatizing past but rather a higher potential of what we…
